We are growing! We are now in the hunt for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Senior Material’s continued global expansion and drive our mission forward.

We work every day to electrify the world for a greener future. Through a thin separator film, we make lithium-ion batteries more durable and safe—an essential component for optimal battery performance.

Founded in 2003 in the tech-hub city of Shenzhen, China, we have been driven by innovation from day one.

Since 2021, we have established our European headquarter in Eskilstuna, Sweden, where we are building one of Europe’s most modern production plants. This facility will play a critical role in electrifying global transportation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and execute the company’s strategic direction in alignment with the Board’s long-term vision.
• Oversee all business operations to ensure sustainable growth, financial health, and operational excellence.
• Leverage investment banking expertise to structure strategic deals, evaluate new opportunities, and optimize capital allocation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, regulators, partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead, inspire, and develop the senior management team to achieve organizational and cultural excellence.
• Represent the company on the global stage—industry events, conferences, government meetings, and strategic partnerships.

Job competence requirements

• Proven executive leadership experience—preferably as CEO, Managing Director, or equivalent within financial services, investment, or related industries.
• Strong background in investment banking with deep knowledge of capital markets, corporate finance, and deal structuring.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, multinational organizations and driving business growth.
• Strong international exposure; experience working in Europe is highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
