HemoCue is a leading provider of point-of-care diagnostic solutions, enabling healthcare practitioners across clinical settings and geographies to improve patient outcomes and clinical workflows. HemoCue offers point-of-care testing for hemoglobin, glucose and HbA1c as well as total and differential white blood cell count.

The Validation engineer for HemoCue is responsible for process validation and calibration in our production.

This position is part of the Integrated Engineering within operations located in Ängelholm and will be on-site. At HemoCue, our purpose is clear: advancing care, test by test, everywhere. You will be a part of the Integrated Engineering Operations and report to the Director Integrated Engineering responsible for maintaining production capacity. If you thrive in a senior validation role and want to work to build a world-class organization supporting medtech production, read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and ensure process validations, including validation of methods (instrumentation) and software systems (both instrument and production environments).
• Plan and perform measurement system analyses
• Guide colleagues on validation matters
• Take the lead in executing and documenting validation activities
• Assist during audits regarding process validation-related questions
• Design and conduct experiments to improve manufacturing processes
• Use statistical methods as a basis for decision-making

The essential requirements of the job include:

• University degree in engineering or equivalent, with experience in similar positions
• Knowledge of FDA, CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485
• Broad validation experience, minimum 3 years
• Ability to apply statistical methods to practical problems

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Measurement technology
• Vision system
