Based in Gothenburg, we're a compact, high-caliber team evolving Entropia Universe, a long-standing MMO built around a real-cash economy. Role Overview:

As a Junior AI Systems Engineer, you will:

Build and integrate intelligent systems into Entropia Universe

Work with automation, AI, and agentic frameworks to create new in-game behaviors and tools

Help optimize our CI/CD and runtime pipelines for performance and quality

Contribute to core systems engineering (C++ and related infrastructure)

Use AI heavily in your own workflow to move faster and smarter

Take pride and ownership of your work all the way through to the end user

This is a general engineering role, not tied to a single fixed team.

You:

Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar field, with strong grades preferred

Huge interest in AI is crucial: you follow new models, tools, and trends and ideally build with them in your spare time

Comfortable with C++ 20; Python is a strong plus.

Strong interest in:

AI and agentic frameworks

Systems engineering and creating great games

Automation and building intelligent systems

Problem solving

Databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data-intensive systems

Basic networking concepts and distributed systems

Containerization and tooling such as Docker

Passion for games and how AI can change the video game industry

Low ego, end-to-end ownership, clear communication.

What we value:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field
• A few years of experience within the field
• Creative thinker with a passion for games and a drive to innovate within the gaming space
• Proficiency in C++
• Proficiency in Python is a strong plus
• Strong interest or knowledge in Transformer tech, large language models, and agentic frameworks
• Knowledge of game development principles and methodologies
• Problem-solving and communication skills
• Being flexible and able to work with a larger technical ecosystem.
