Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Quality / RAMS / DfAM Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Lead design for aftermarket (DfAM) initiatives for new Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), analyzing build processes to identify product and service improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate current product designs, clearly define deficiencies, and propose design improvements that enhance maintainability, serviceability, and lifecycle performance.
- Collaborate closely with GTO and Energy engineering teams to ensure design modifications support both manufacturing and aftermarket quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement processes, ensuring alignment between design intent and aftermarket efficiency.
- Define and execute RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) plans and objectives across projects, ensuring accurate estimation, analysis, and validation of RAMS activities.
- Conduct comprehensive RAMS analyses, perform required testing, and ensure quality of specifications and test execution.
- Develop and implement robust product quality management systems aligned with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Manage quality control and assurance systems, lead audits, establish quality procedures, and resolve product or process discrepancies.
- Ensure consistent compliance with quality, safety, and reliability standards through audits, root-cause analysis, and process optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Energy and related entities, integrating feedback into future design strategies.
- Travel between Energy’s Skövde production site and Arendal HQ as required to ensure alignment across design, manufacturing, and quality operations.
What you bring:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant engineering experience, recognized expertise in Quality, RAMS, or Design for Aftermarket (DfAM) within complex industrial or energy systems.
- Proven ability to analyze, plan, and execute design and quality strategies that balance function, cost, maintainability, and reliability.
- Strong experience in mechanical design engineering, system reliability, and quality management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, continuous improvement, and process standardization.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, audit leadership, and quality system certification processes.
- Recognized as a thought leader or subject matter expert within own technical discipline, with proven mentoring and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical capabilities, with the ability to influence across teams and functions.
- Willingness to travel between sites (Skövde and Gothenburg) to support project delivery and collaboration
