Data Engineer - Finance (future assignments)

Role Description

Join a business-facing analytics team that builds and operates the cloud data platform and pipelines for risk, payments, and customer analytics in a regulated environment. Deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data products with strong traceability and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate ETL/ELT data flows for batch and real-time use cases.
• Model data warehouses and data marts (e.g., Data Vault and dimensional).
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Optimize performance, monitor costs (FinOps), and establish observability and alerting.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, security, and business stakeholders (KYC/AML, reporting).

Requirements

• 3+ years as a Data Engineer in a cloud environment.
• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory and Databricks/Spark; experience with Delta Lake and ADLS.
• Advanced SQL and Python; experience with data/schema validation.
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps, version control, and code reviews.
• Understanding of GDPR and relevant financial regulations.

Meriting

• Experience with Event Hubs/Kafka, Synapse, and Power BI.
• Background in risk/payments or regulatory deliveries.
• Test automation for data pipelines.
