Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior System Architect to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Develop end-to-end functional specifications and system-level requirements aligned with overall product goals.
• Work across all project phases — from concept evaluation through production start and product lifetime management.
• Drive combustion and performance specification for industrial and marine engine applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define complete system solutions and ensure effective integration at both system and product level.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, supplier collaboration, and documentation management.
• Support component selection and validation, ensuring suitability to design and performance requirements.
• Manage global function targets, coordinating end-to-end function owners and ensuring delivery excellence.
• Act as a mentor and coach, sharing expertise within the Volvo Group and supporting team competence development.
• Contribute to roadmaps and strategies, ensuring alignment with business and technology development objectives.

What you bring:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engine performance, combustion systems, or related hardware components.
• Strong background in system architecture, integration, and performance engineering.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor colleagues within a technical organization.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in system architecture and engine technologies.
• A T-shaped profile, combining deep technical competence with a broad understanding of system-level development.
• Ability to connect technical solutions with business value, demonstrating clear strategic insight.
