About the role

As a Product Owner at Northmill Bank, you play a key role in ensuring the success of product delivery. You collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify needs and translate them into efficient, value-driven solutions.  Your primary responsibility is to maximize the overall value delivered by your agile team, ensuring that the team meets its committed objectives and results in a working, high-quality solution. You are accountable for prioritizing work in line with Northmill’s strategic goals, maintaining strong alignment with both business stakeholders and the leadership team, and ultimately owning the outcome of your team's deliverables. Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Tech teams to ensure regulatory alignment and efficient delivery.

Beyond your immediate team, you actively contribute to a community of peers, sharing insights, fostering collaboration, and continuously improving ways of working. You are passionate about bridging business and technology, thrive in technical domains, and enjoy working closely with development teams to drive impactful, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers to translate Northmill Bank’s strategic initiatives into impactful products that support the Bank’s business objectives.
• Translate regulatory, operational, and business requirements into clear user stories and development tasks.
• Review and accept delivered user stories.
• Proactively drive product development in your agile team.
• Create, maintain and prioritize the team backlog.
• Interact with 3rd parties with regards to technical integrations and support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferable within the financial services industry.
• Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and stakeholder management.

Bonus points if you also have:

• Experience working with marketing technologies and practices such as digital analytics, marketing automation, content management and conversion rate optimization.
• Experience with backoffice systems supporting and optimizing core business processes within banking and finance
