The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Composites is looking for a Factory Supply Chain Specialist to strengthen our Procurement & Logistics team. This is a key supporting role where you'll assist the factory with various supply chain-related activities. If you're driven to grow and eager to learn, this could be the right opportunity for you!

Our production unit is located in Piteå, northern Sweden, and primarily manufactures composite insulators for applications such as transformer bushings, circuit breaker bushings, surge arresters, cable terminations, and station post insulators. We also produce machined fiberglass/epoxy cylinders used in components like tap changers.

How you'll make an impact

• Support the Factory SCM Manager on assigned tasks, prioritize and help our suppliers with feeding us the most critical items.
• Support on analysis and reporting tasks.
• Lead and/or support company and contractors' qualifications processes on assigned suppliers.
• Support Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) on assigned tasks.
• Work on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks.
• Check material prices and terms from tender to invoice. Also support costing and negotiations during tenders when needed.
• Keep supplier information updated in the ERP system—like contacts, prices, lead times, and payment terms.

Your background

• You have an academic background in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or similar.
• Extensive experience isn't required – we're looking for someone with the right skills, attitude, and potential to grow.
• You're confident using Excel and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• You speak English fluently and communicate well. You also understand Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You're analytical and structured, which helps you quickly understand complex issues, spot patterns, and move work forward methodically.
