About the Role
The Engineering Culture team within Platform Engineering is seeking a senior software engineer to support 3,000+ internal developers in delivering software with speed and quality.
The team fosters an innovative, inclusive culture focused on diversity and continuous learning.
As a senior engineer, you will:
- Lead the development and advocacy of the internal developer portal, Backstage.
- Drive Backstage’s technical direction for secure, scalable, and maintainable operations.
- Define and implement the product roadmap to address engineers’ critical needs and pain points.
- Champion user-centric development practices.
- Mentor team members and contributors, elevating technical and architectural skills.
- Provide senior engineering perspectives in organizational discussions and projects.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Backstage development in large, international organizations.
- Proven ability to set and execute strategic roadmaps from both technical and product perspectives.
