The Engineering Culture team within Platform Engineering is seeking a senior software engineer to support 3,000+ internal developers in delivering software with speed and quality. The team fosters an innovative, inclusive culture focused on diversity and continuous learning.

As a senior engineer, you will:

• Lead the development and advocacy of the internal developer portal, Backstage.
• Drive Backstage’s technical direction for secure, scalable, and maintainable operations.
• Define and implement the product roadmap to address engineers’ critical needs and pain points.
• Champion user-centric development practices.
• Mentor team members and contributors, elevating technical and architectural skills.
• Provide senior engineering perspectives in organizational discussions and projects.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Backstage development in large, international organizations.
• Proven ability to set and execute strategic roadmaps from both technical and product perspectives.
• Strong leadership skills, empowering peers and fostering a culture of innovation.
• Strategic thinking about technology and its impact on organizational efficiency.
• Excellent collaboration skills with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
