Your role as a  Machine Learning Engineer at Apotea:

• Build, deploy, and own end-to-end ML systems – from prototyping to maintaining production models, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with team strategy.
• Turn models into real-world solutions – integrate ML into products that deliver measurable business value.
• Apply MLOps and DevOps best practices – use CI/CD, IaC, and cloud native solutions to deploy and monitor models.
• Collaborate across teams – work with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Tech Lead, and Product Owner to align on data, integrations, architecture, and goals.
• Define metrics and evaluation processes - establish performance metrics, evaluation and validation frameworks aligned with business logic and requirements
• Take proactive initiatives - continuously identify and implement improvements to boost team productivity and solution quality
• Mentor junior engineers - provide technical guidance, code reviews, and care for the junior engineers in the team.

Who you are? We’re seeking Machine Learning Engineers with diverse skills and a passion for solving complex problems and business impact.

1. You’re an ML EXPERT who: • Ships models to production, not just notebooks • Speaks the language of both algorithms and business KPIs • Stays ahead of the curve on AI/ML breakthroughs • Is proficient in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
2. You’re an ENGINEER who: • Writes code that outlasts the current project • Thinks in systems, not just scripts • Tests obsessively (A/B testing solutions, End-to-End testing softwares) and documents proactively • Knows cloud infra like the back of your hand (AWS preferred)
3.  Bonus points for experience with: • Implementing CI/CD pipelines, MLOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code for robust and repeatable deployments • Feature stores and real-time inference pipelines • Open data formats like Delta Lake or Iceberg • Swedish language skills (not required, but a plus)
