Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux software in a complex, performance-critical environment
- Work with low-level software components including device drivers and wireless communication
- Utilize Yocto for custom Linux distributions and package management
- Apply your expertise in C++ and RobotFramework to develop and test reliable systems
- Manage CVE/SOUP-related topics to ensure compliance and security
- Contribute to the development of automated test frameworks and strategies
- Interpret and collaborate using embedded hardware schematics
- Participate actively in source control workflows using Git, GitLab, and/or GitHub
- Collaborate closely with the team on-site in Solna, with a presence of four to five days a week
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer in Linux environments
- Solid knowledge of Embedded Linux, low-level systems, open source components, and Yocto
- Strong hands-on experience with C++ and RobotFramework
- Deep understanding of CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) and SOUP (Software of Unknown Provenance)
- Passion for and experience in software test automation
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware schematics and system design
- Proficiency with version control tools such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Result-driven mindset and a strong team-player attitude
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with Continuous Integration systems and SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) handling
- Knowledge of embedded systems hardware architecture
- Hands-on experience with SCRUM and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with medical device software standards like IEC 62304 and IEC 81001-5-1
- Previous experience working in MedTech or other regulated industries
