Position Summary The Development Lead at Tacton is a hands on operational leader who defines and drives the technical direction and priorities of their team. While you won’t have direct reports, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring your team’s success. This role suits a seasoned developer eager to grow into a potential manager role in the future. Key Responsibilities

• Act as a "playing coach" by actively contributing to development tasks as a senior developer, while providing operational leadership and guidance to the team
• Define and prioritize team tasks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical strategies.
• Architect and implement high-quality features, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.
• Mentor developers and act as a technical advisor, fostering professional growth and excellence.
• Clearly describe and document software solutions, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.
• Foster teamwork and celebrate milestones.
• Drive and contribute to continuous improvement in both code and ways of work.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in building and maintaining software systems.
• Proven ability to translate functional specifications into creative, user-focused software solutions.
• Strong backend development skills, with experience in building robust and efficient solutions.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, with a willingness to adapt and contribute across the stack.
• Experience in software design and architecture, delivering high-quality features.
• Self-driven and proactive, able to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills; Swedish is a plus.
• We believe in real-time collaboration and prefer you to be on-site most weekdays at our Stockholm office to foster knowledge sharing and innovation.

Preferred:

• Experience in SaaS product development and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS).
• Interest in growing into a people management role with direct reports.
• Experience with Java, developing robust and efficient backend solutions.
• Familiarity with test automation and best practices.
