Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for process improvement and financial compliance across the Nordics? We are now looking for a Regional Finance Controller to join our client’s Finance team, supporting their Northern Europe region (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Estonia). This is a consultancy assignment through Adecco, starting with a six month probationary period, with strong potential for permanent employment with the client. About the Role As a Regional Finance Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering robust financial processes and ensuring compliance across multiple countries. You’ll bring strong technical expertise in accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and support decision-making at a strategic level. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors, taking ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and internal control development. While this is an individual contributor role, your experience may also position you to mentor junior team members or lead small projects. Key Responsibilities • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local GAAP and IFRS • Develop and document internal control systems and accounting policies • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial statements • Review and improve accounting systems and procedures • Manage monthly and yearly closing activities • Support internal and external audits • Provide technical accounting guidance to colleagues • Drive efficiency and quality in financial processes across the Nordic region Your Profile • BSc in Economics, Finance or similar (CPA/CMA is a plus) • 5+ years of experience in controlling, accounting, or auditing • Strong technical skills in GAAP, IFRS (HGB is a plus) • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., Vlookups, pivot tables) • Fluent in English, both written and spoken • Analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude • Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple priorities You’ll Support The NoWe region (Northern & Western Europe), including operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Estonia, primarily working in NetSuite.
