To strengthen our position as the shipyard where safety is the 1:st priority, we are expanding our HSEQ department with 2 Safety Officers!
As a Safety Officer, you play a key role in ensuring a safe and secure working environment for everyone at the shipyard – employees, customers, and subcontractors. The role is primarily operational, shaped by the unique challenges of the shipbuilding and repair industry, where safety is always the top priority!
The business is conducted at the shipyard in Landskrona. We are an entrepreneur-driven company with a strong focus on problem-solving and service when it comes to technically complex challenges.
The role shall embody the ODD safety culture where safety always is Top Priority, and:
Monitor and ensure compliance with internal and external Health & Safety requirements
Report and follow up on deviations (accidents and incidents) as well as improvement suggestions in the management system
Propose and implement improvements within Health & Safety
Conduct training sessions and safety briefings
Ensure that training, campaigns, and drills are relevant and of high quality
Support the rest of the organization in safety-related matters
We believe that you have a few years of experience from a similar role within Health & Safety, preferably but not compulsory, from Vessel Operations, the maritime industry, shipyards, or other heavy industry. You should also:
Have a relevant education within Health & Safety
Have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
Have ability to work in an international environment
Hold a valid driver’s license (B).
If you hold a valid Swedish driver’s license (B), it is an asset.
