At Volvo Group, we are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions that enhance the driving experience. We are part of the organization responsible for defining and developing several systems the driver interacts with such as the instrument cluster, infotainment, camera-based solutions and others. We belong to the Driver Interaction & Infotainment organization within Vehicle Technology at Volvo Group Trucks Technology.
We are currently seeking a System Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive technology. In this position, you will design and define the architecture of complex automotive systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for next-generation vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the definition and design of system architecture for automotive applications and systems within the HMI & Infotainment domain.
* Collaborate with hardware, software, and vehicle engineering teams to define system requirements and specifications.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive system architecture documentation, including requirements, interface definitions, and design specifications.
* Ensure system architecture aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Volvo’s internal standards.
* Conduct system-level analysis, concepts, and performance optimization.
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis to ensure robust and reliable system architecture.
* Work closely with suppliers and partners to ensure seamless integration of components and subsystems.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5+ years of experience in system architecture design, preferably with a focus on HMI in the automotive industry.
* Good knowledge of HMI systems, including electronic units, sensors, actuators, and user interface design.
* Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet), embedded systems, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
* Good knowledge of the AUTOSAR software and hardware development process.
* Proficiency in system modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, SysML) and application lifecycle management tools (e.g., SystemWeave).
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., Functional Safety/ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, Cybersecurity/ISO 21434).
