Role Summary
As an embedded software developer in R&D Industrial Operations Asia, you will have the great opportunity to work with both the conventional and electrical propulsion embedded systems, such as Engine Management System, Transmission Management System and electrical Electric Energy Management Unit. You need to enjoy both implementing functions and verifying in the suitable environment. You shall feel comfortable in the dynamic and international working environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Powertrain software design: understand the system and breakdown to software requirement. Come up with software design with the expected system behaviors.
• Function implementation: develop the modulization based architect and implement in embedded C or model-based Simulink to be integrated in the vehicle.
• Test and verification: verify the solution in unit tests, SIL, HIL, and in the truck when it is applicable.
• Collaboration: Work with system owners, hardware engineers, component engineers and test engineers.
Who You Are
You need to be able to understand a complex codebase and find the right place in the architecture to do the software changes. The important thing for you is that you enjoy embedded programming and systems so that you can adapt to the task and implement new functions and test them in a suitable way.
• Good Embedded C programmer.
• Comfortable working with Matlab/Simulink.
• University degree in engineering.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant working experience in commercial vehicle industry.
• Scania embedded system development is an advantage, like EMS, TMS, EMU etc
Meritorious: Chinese, Truck driving license, Familiarity with Agile methodologies
This Is Us
Scania has decided to establish a third industrial hub in China with the capacity to produce some 50 000 vehicles per year. Alongside building a new factory and an expansion of the sales network we will also establish a local R&D organisation in China. Our mission in R&D Industrial Operations Asia is to develop trucks specially adapted for the Chinese market, the biggest commercial vehicle market in the world. This requires many new systems and functions to be developed, tested, and introduced.
A dedicated organisation will carry out the work, which will develop and manage the products over time. The organisation will consist of colleagues from all brands within the TRATON Group together with many new colleagues from China. We are building the organisation simultaneously as we develop the product.
