Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior FPGA Lead to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On:
- Lead and oversee FPGA development for the neutron detector readout chain, ensuring robust and high-performance solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions, design reviews, and system optimizations to enhance FPGA-based data acquisition and processing.
- Guide and mentor a team of FPGA engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
- Define and implement best practices for FPGA development, verification, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with detector, controls, and instrument scientists to integrate FPGA solutions seamlessly into broader system architectures.
- Manage project timelines, technical deliverables, and risk assessments to ensure successful execution.
- Support debugging, performance tuning, and continuous improvements in FPGA-based designs.
What You Bring:
- Extensive experience in FPGA development, including VHDL/Verilog programming and high-speed digital design.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of guiding teams in FPGA-based hardware development.
- Deep understanding of digital signal processing, real-time data acquisition, and embedded system integration.
- Expertise in FPGA toolchains such as Vivado, Quartus, or Libero, along with verification methodologies and simulation tools.
- Ability to define technical roadmaps, drive innovation, and align development efforts with project goals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with neutron detector systems or similar scientific instrumentation is a plus.
