Testing & Quality Engineer

Location: Falun, Sweden

LEAX Group is looking for a skilled and proactive Testing & Quality Engineer to strengthen our growing R&D department. In this role, you will be central to ensuring that our products meet high standards of performance, safety, and reliability—from concept through validation and serial production.

At LEAX R&D, we develop advanced propeller shafts and transmission systems for demanding applications, primarily within the automotive and heavy vehicle industries. You will work closely with design engineering and production teams to shape test methods, quality frameworks, and FMEA processes that support robust and reliable product development.

This is a hands-on and impactful role where you combine daily testing operations with long-term improvements to processes, tools, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and document test procedures for propeller shafts and transmission systems.
• Generate test reports with detailed analysis and data.
• Create and maintain DFMEA and PFMEA documentation including hosting monthly DFMEA meetings and supporting production teams.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of R&D standards and procedures (e.g. checklists, templates, test request reports).
• Manage and update quality documentation in preparation for IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 audits.
• Handle audit nonconformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives within R&D.
• Coordinate with production to implement quality frameworks and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain and develop content within our PLM system (YAPlm).
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and potentially represent LEAX at industry conferences or in technical publications.

Desired Experience & Profile:

To succeed in this role, you are structured, hands-on, and proactive, with a strong ability to combine technical understanding and process thinking.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in testing, validation, and failure analysis of mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency with FMEA methodologies and quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
• Familiarity with PLM systems (YAP or similar).
• Comfortable working with documentation, audits, and structured problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Team player with a mindset for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
