The Opportunity

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is entering a new era of transformation and innovation, and we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy.

As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in cost optimization, and strategic growth initiatives, ensuring SAS remains a leader in sustainable aviation. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Board, investors, and key stakeholders to drive financial excellence in a highly competitive industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a robust financial strategy aligned with SAS’s long-term goals, including cost efficiencies, capital structure optimization, and revenue growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining operational excellence and customer experience.
• Oversee financing strategies, investor relations, and potential capital market activities, including debt and equity financing.
• Drive financial transformation initiatives to enhance profitability, competitiveness, and resilience in a rapidly changing market.
• Align financial strategy with SAS’s commitment to sustainability and green aviation.
• Ensure financial governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across all business units.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or VP Finance in an airline, aviation, transportation, or large-scale consumer business.
• Strong expertise in financial restructuring, cost transformation, and capital markets.
• Experience in complex, multinational environments with regulatory oversight.
• Demonstrated leadership in stakeholder management, investor relations, and board-level reporting.
• Deep understanding of airline economics, revenue management, and operational finance.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
