Do you thrive in a global environment where collaboration and cutting-edge technology drive success? We are looking for a Group Manager for Chassis Equipment to lead our team in Sweden. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions within chassis components and systems while working closely with our global teams in India, France, and Brazil. You will play a key role in driving development, ensuring high-quality deliveries, and shaping the future of heavy-duty transportation. What you will do As Group Manager for Chassis Equipment, you will lead a team of skilled engineers dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable solutions. You will be responsible for platform development within chassis equipment, ensuring that our technical solutions align with global standards and support Volvo’s sustainability ambitions. Your role includes securing high-quality deliveries for key components such as rear decks, fenders, tail lamp installations, and step ladders. You will work cross-functionally to integrate chassis solutions into our trucks and collaborate with various stakeholders across the Volvo Group to ensure alignment with business strategies and technical roadmaps. A key part of your role will be to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Your main responsibilities will include: * Leading and developing the team by creating an environment where people thrive, collaborate, and grow * Ensuring high-quality technical deliveries within Chassis Equipment by overseeing the development of key components * Driving platform development for chassis equipment, ensuring global alignment and identifying innovative solutions * Promoting sustainability as an integral part of product development, actively working towards greener solutions * Representing the team in technical discussions, securing alignment with business strategies and technical roadmaps Your future team You will be joining a diverse and highly skilled team of engineers who are passionate about developing world-class chassis solutions. To succeed in this role, you are an experienced leader with a strong technical background and a passion for developing both people and products. You thrive in an international environment and enjoy working with complex technical challenges. You have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent and proven leadership experience in a technical field. Your ability to plan and drive strategies, foster innovation, and lead teams effectively makes you a strong candidate for this role. Experience in automotive product development, particularly within heavy-duty vehicles and chassis solutions, is essential. Additionally, you bring: * A deep understanding of chassis solutions, including failure modes, production processes, testing, and interactions with other vehicle systems * Experience with verification and validation methodologies, such as virtual analysis, simulation, data analysis, testing, FMEA, and material analysis * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, allowing you to collaborate effectively across teams and regions * Confidence in decision-making and the ability to lead complex technical discussions Ready for the next move?
