As a Backend Engineer in the Security team at Embark, you will be an integral part of a highly creative game team focused on building data infrastructure, backend components, and tools to power our anti-cheat efforts.
You will play an important role in securing the success of Embark by enabling the effective execution of our various preventive and detective anti-cheat operations. You’ll be part of a small and passionate team with an end-to-end mission; to ensure a fair and fun experience for our players. You’ll collaborate with the rest of the game teams and studio to understand and educate about the anti-cheat perspective.
The anti-cheat tools and infrastructure span over several services, UIs and technologies, and as such you will be expected to work independently across different domains and disciplines to solve the problems at hand, learning as you go. This is likely something you enjoy.
Some examples of things we’re working on are analytic tools, detection rules, and telemetry infrastructure, authentication. Some of the technologies we use to make all of those are Go, Python, SQL, C++, GCP, Bazel, Terraform, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Google Spanner.
