Work Description You will work as a specialist physician in nuclear medicine with responsibilities to supervise and interpret nuclear medicine imaging studies, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT. You will participate in supervising and teaching medical staff and residents. Contributing to research initiatives and quality improvement projects within the department.  Team The clinic features different specialized diagnostic teams, including: Nuclear Medicine; PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging for advanced diagnostics and therapy. Heart MRI; High-resolution imaging for cardiac evaluation. Echocardiography and other advanced diagnostics for cardiopulmonary function. Vascular imaging Interventional unit for diagnostics and specialized procedures therapy for Valvular Heart Diseases The clinic currently employs 22 specialist doctors and six doctors in specialist training, alongside a skilled team of technicians, medical physicists, and technical engineers. Our nuclear medicine unit delivers a broad spectrum of diagnostic services including advanced imaging for oncological, neurological, and cardiovascular diagnostics. In addition to SPECT-CT scan diagnostics (ring configured multidetector CZT SPECT system, dedicated CZT heart camera and traditional SPECT/CT) we provide PET/CT imaging in neurological, inflammatory and tumor diseases in collaboration with the radiology Department, which is situated within the same building and operates in close partnership with us. To enhance our capabilities further, we are expanding with the acquisition of a new high-performance PET/CT system, which will be operational by mid-2025. Among the plans for this new system is to start up dynamic cardiac PET imaging for myocardial perfusion assessment. Our department has its own facility for radiopharmaceutical production and the hospital has a cyclotron unit for radionuclide production. Qualifications Required qualifications and skills for this position include: Registered medical license within the EU/EEA Registered and licensed physician with specialist competence in nuclear medicine in combination with specialist competence in clinical physiology or radiology. Expertise in advanced diagnostic techniques and interest in multidisciplinary collaboration. Postgraduate education and active research in the subject area of nuclear medicine/ PET-CT are meritorious. Proficient in using standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks. English and Swedish language skills or a commitment to learn Swedish language, with support provided. Further on you need strong teamwork and communication skills to suceed in this role. You should enjoy working in teams with different professions and have the ability and wish to further development within nuclear medicine field.
