About this opportunity
At Ericsson, our Radio Near Algorithm IP Unit is setting new standards in radio hardware innovation, advancing GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G, and pioneering technologies.
The core of our mission is advancing the antenna near signal processing technology implemented across ASIC, FPGA, and structured ASIC circuits.
Our team’s deep expertise and commitment to innovation mean we are actively developing the next generation of algorithmic solutions that will power tomorrow's connectivity.
If you are a motivated professional with experience in signal processing algorithm design for hardware, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of radio communication technology!
What You’ll do;
- Implement sophisticated signal processing algorithms directly in hardware using RTL design techniques and high-level description languages (HLS), all integral to our next-generation radio base stations.
- Translate technical requirements into optimised implementations, ensuring your designs align with customer expectations and industry-leading performance standards.
- Collaborate with our top engineers and senior specialists, driving innovative solutions that enhance and build upon existing capabilities and forge new ones.
- Develop state-of-the-art signal processing solutions in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting that values initiative, creativity, and teamwork.
- Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation for your designs, ensuring a robust knowledge base for future development.
- Work closely with our verification team to ensure the quality and reliability of your designs, utilising rigorous testing and validation processes.
What You’ll Bring
- A Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in ASIC or FPGA design and development.
- Strong FPGA development knowledge and hands-on experience in simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and place & route.
- Proficiency in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, such as digital filters, FFTs, and fixed-point DSP data paths for digital communication.
- Programming skills in Matlab, VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog/SystemC, and C/C++.
- High self-motivation and a proactive approach to independent work while thriving in a Team’s collaborative environment.
- An analytical and results-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality work and strong communication skills.
