Responsibilities
- Early Phase Electrical Simulations: Conduct simulations to describe and evaluate conceptual alternatives for the electrical system, ensuring robustness and efficiency in design.
- Requirement Definition & System Evaluation: Define and evaluate the system’s electrical requirements to create a reliable, long-lasting solution.
- Hands-on Testing & Validation: Participate in practical testing, learning, and validation through hands-on measurements in trucks during later development phases.
- System Design & Integration: Design electrical and electronics systems by understanding their purpose, interfaces, and behavior, ensuring they align with the intended performance.
- Lead Technical Team: Guide a technical team in the system engineering process, ensuring successful delivery by adhering to defined methods, inputs, and outputs.
- Specification & Verification: Ensure system specifications are correctly implemented and verified throughout the development process.
- System Architecture Strategy: Lead the implementation of system architecture strategies, creating roadmaps and steering teams through concept investigations.
- Alternative Exploration: Collaborate with teams to explore alternative system solutions and concepts, leading the approval process through decision forums.
- Support Product Management: Work closely with product managers to clarify needs, break down features, and support the development of technical and system architecture roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, including batteries, DC-DC converters, alternators, relays, switches, and active distribution components.
- Experience in electrical simulations and system-level concept design.
- Proven track record in system engineering, with the ability to lead technical teams and deliver according to methods and standards.
- Expertise in defining and verifying system and non-functional requirements.
- Solid understanding of system architecture and development processes.
- Experience in concept investigation and decision-making in cross-functional teams.
- Advanced knowledge obtained through education and extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering (Senior level).
