Here at X Shore, we are developing the future of smart boating, and to do that we need the best and brightest people. We are now looking to grow the team with a Systems Lead Engineer who will have a crucial role in the development process for our boats. You will join a small, high-paced team of very talented individuals, and as a part of that team, you will get to grow and develop alongside your colleagues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Top level electrical system architecture and ensuring they meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements for the boating industry.
- Off the shelf hardware integration of automotive embedded components (e.g. Motor, inverter, on-board charger, DCDC converter, power distribution units and more)
- Develop system-level design documentation including block diagrams, schematics and interface specifications.
- Hands on physical prototyping and integration.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and production of electrical systems.
- Select and evaluate components to improve performance and reduce the bill of material.
- Work closely with project managers to define project scope, timelines and deliverables.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Your profile
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
- A strong interest in technology, sustainability, and boats.
- +5 years of experience in systems design and electrical engineering.
- Skills in maintaining a close working relationship with component and material suppliers.
- Ability to perform simulations and prepare testing needed to verify and validate the electrical system design.
It's a plus if you have:
- Experience from the automotive and/or EV industry.
- Experience from working with high voltage.
