About the project We invite applications for a doctoral student position to work under the guidance of Andrii Dmytryshyn. In this role, you will investigate singular linear and non-linear eigenvalue problems motivated by computational and control theory applications. Your role and responsibilities As a Ph.D. student, you will: • Be enrolled in a graduate program at the Mathematical Sciences at Chalmers University of Technology. • Develop innovative ideas and share your research findings through publications and presentations. • Contribute to departmental activities, including up to 20% teaching responsibilities, which we will support you in balancing with your research commitments. Who we are looking for We welcome candidates with: • A Master’s degree (corresponding to at least 240 higher education credits) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. Candidates expecting to complete their degree by the start of employment (August-September 2025) are also encouraged to apply. • A strong foundation in mathematics. • Interest in areas such as computational mathematics, applied linear algebra, optimization, numerical methods, numerical analysis. Experience in the areas mentioned above is meritorious. • Proficiency in programming. • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
