Your role
You will play a major role in continuing developing the team and setting an efficient way of working where continuous improvement is a natural part i management of n every day's work. Production Development, as a part of Production, currently consist of five sections; Production Engineering PCB-A, Production Engineering Assembly, Industrialisation Engineering, Test Infrastructure, Test Solutions. Together we are responsible for new product introductions and technical maintenance of existing production in purpose to meet customers' expectations. We are now looking for a manager for the section - Production Engineering Assembly. Production Engineering Assembly is responsible for production preparation (Work instructions, routing), management and development of the manufacturing processes related to electrical and mechanical aspects (including tools and/or methods necessary for the processes), production support and non-conformity handling.
You will be responsible for the core areas within Production Engineering Assembly and aligning with our strategy. This includes operational planning, development of the roles needed, balancing headcount with actual needs and recruiting your team members.
You will lead a team with different competences within the Production Engineering Assembly field, e.g., cabling, mechanics, electronics and microwave. Your team will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective production preparation, where standardization and keeping variation at a minimum will be corner stones. You will be a major player in continuing defining your sections framework including ways working and lead your team towards continuous improvements within it.
Your main tasks:

Translating Saab, Surveillance and Production strategies into clear and well-communicated targets for your team.

Lead your employees by acting according to Saab's values

Full responsibility for results within your area, which includes safety and health, quality, delivery capacity, efficiency and finance.

Coaching and development of abilities and competences in your team and by so growing your staff to take on more complex and demanding tasks.
*
Empower your employees through value driven leadership.
*
Follow up and take actions based on the organizations' different KPIs for efficiency, budget, quality and capacity
*
Ensure that your team has the competence and confidence to handle current and future work, recruit and introduce new employees when applicable.
*
Actively support development and production projects in production engineering related topics.

Required skills:

Bachelor or Master of Science in engineering, Mechanical, Industrialisation, other adequate educational or equal working experience.
*
Proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organization, management teams and employees.
*
Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.
*
Excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English.
Desired skills:
*
Experiences from a leadership position in production engineering, industrialisation or similar is a strong merit.
*
Experience from working as a production engineer before is a merit.
*
Experiences from working within production engineering, industrialisation of products (such as reuse of components, standardization in design, and minimizing of variation).
*
Experience from working with quality and broad understanding of IPC standards is a merit.

Since we now are executing our production development strategy, you and your team will be an important ambassador for ensuring a continued successful implementation. This is why excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in your role.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
