What will you do?
As our Product Owner for Customs Nordic, you will play a central role in shaping the product strategy and roadmap, aligning business needs with development efforts and identifying cross-product opportunities in close collaboration with the Production and the business Product Manager. Acting as a bridge between business strategy and development teams, you'll lead a team of Customs Expert, Tech Lead, Business Analysts, and Testers, prioritizing tasks and ensuring a customer-focused approach.
Key responsibilities include managing service uptime, addressing incidents and problems in line with PostNord's ITIL processes, and handling Application Management and Life Cycle Management tasks. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure contract and SLA compliance, lead daily stand-ups and operational meetings, and maintain end-to-end ownership of the service. Additionally, you'll support integration work and collaboration with other teams, mentor junior team members across the Nordics and India, and ensure practical execution aligns with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging with stakeholders, including Business, to align priorities
Planning and prioritizing work based on strategic, legal, and business needs
Managing capacity, roadmaps, and budgets, including financial follow-up
Leading PI and Sprint Plannings based on prioritized Epics and Features
Overseeing AM, LCM, and supplier involvement in incidents and problems
Ensuring service requests, infrastructure, operations, licenses, and development align with Total cost of ownership (TCO)
Following up on incidents, problems, and overall progress
We are we looking for?
We are looking for you who excels at navigating complex stakeholder relationships and driving successful outcomes for both business and users. You will take full ownership of the service, providing clear strategic direction, framing problems, and translating strategy into actionable tasks. By prioritizing user needs, you will foster a culture of value-driven decision-making and communicate effectively with development teams to address constraints and trade-offs.
You will make informed decisions by balancing tactical prioritization with business strategy, managing development challenges, risks, and financial concerns. Following up on results, you will share learnings and lead a diverse team in a culture of trust, empowerment, and continuous improvement, while mentoring and facilitating collaboration across teams and departments.
Your experience
Several years of experience as a product owner, project manager, or team lead within IT, preferably in the logistics industry.
Experience working in multi-cultural, multi-sourced environments, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LESS).
Ability to nurture user feedback and prioritize customer needs.
Knowledge of both resource and SaaS deliveries.
Deep understanding of logistics industry trends, customer segments, and the market.
Meritorious experience:
Experience with Nordic customs systems and end-to-end service ownership, including TCO
Business domain knowledge of PostNord processes across countries and sectors
We believe you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to clearly articulate ideas and build meaningful relationships. Proven leadership abilities in coaching and leading development teams. Furthermore, your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities empower you to navigate complex challenges and deliver creative, effective solutions. You are accustomed to occasionally working under high-pressure situations, ensuring that deadlines are met, and critical tasks are handled efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
