Who We are
SWEP Engineering Office, part of Volvo Cars, is responsible for ensuring product quality and enhancing customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle. Our team, Quality & Launch, focuses on tracing and resolving faults from product launch to end customer usage, reducing failures along the way. We consist of five key roles, including Unit Quality Leader, Global LL, SPQ-LL, CMQ, Data, and SWEP Q&L Fault Tracers. We are dedicated to improving Volvo's product reliability and are looking for a skilled fault tracer to join us on this exciting journey.
What You'll Do
As a SWEP Q&L Fault Tracer, you will work in a dynamic environment, supporting Volvo Cars Engineering by tracing and troubleshooting complex issues. Your role will involve close collaboration with various engineering units and departments, providing expert guidance in fault diagnosis. You will also help shape the team’s methodologies for resolving faults and play an active role in training others to enhance their troubleshooting capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to build a strong network within the engineering community and contribute to the continuous improvement of Volvo’s quality processes.
Who You Are
You have a background in software development and a solid understanding of the troubleshooting process. You are experienced in fault tracing, comfortable working with C/C++ in embedded environments, and familiar with debugging techniques for software issues like segmentation faults and race conditions. You are driven, self-reliant, and have strong collaborative skills. Additionally, you possess a good knowledge of embedded OSes, networking protocols, and configuration environments. You are eager to take ownership of challenges and thrive in a team environment. Your passion for learning, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction make you a great fit for this role.
