Your Role
We are looking for a motivated and engaged Linux Developer who wants to work at Saab and contribute to the development of an advanced aircraft computer platform.
You will play an important role in developing both the Linux platform and the driver layers for the systems, from early prototypes to final delivery.
In this role, you will be involved throughout the entire development process, working with both software and hardware.
As a Linux developer, your responsibilities will include:
•Developing software plans and analyzing requirements
•Implementing and integrating software
•Verifying and ensuring software quality
•Reviewing certified software
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who enjoys being creative and meticulous in their work.
You are a structured team player who values good communication.
To thrive in this role, you should have experience building drivers and enjoy working with Linux systems.
We expect you to be familiar with using Buildroot to generate Linux systems and comfortable working with Device Tree.
Additionally, you should have solid knowledge of Embedded C programming and experience with Linux, both professionally and personally.
A good understanding of hardware is also advantageous, as you will collaborate closely with our hardware team.
We would also appreciate it if you have experience completing projects and delivering high-quality software.
Required qualifications for the position:
•University degree in Computer Engineering/Electronical Engineering/Equivalent
•English, both written and spoken
Preferred qualifications for the position:
•Swedish, both written and spoken
•Safety-critical software
•Working with DO178 B/C
•Real-time operating systems
•Safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, MISRA, etc.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
Candidates residing outside Sweden need to have a valid work permit.
