The Brand Media team in Stockholm is expanding and we are looking for your next Group Brand Media Manager who will be responsible for coordinating Vattenfall’s branded communication in Sweden and Finland.

About the position

As Media Manager, you will research and optimize media, implement and manage media campaigns together with our media agencies, and focus on maximizing the reach in our target audiences at at the lowest possible costs with the highest engagement. You various work together with internal stakeholders from different business units to optimize for the best shared outcomes.

The Brand Media team is a specialized team with extensive experience in media planning, buying, and effectiveness in our markets. You will report to the Director Brand Media, Ella Hollander-Jalil.

Your tasks and responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement international brand communications media plans for Sweden and Finland in the Group brand portfolio.
  • Create strategies to achieve the largest reach and impact from media sources, determining which media to use, when, and at what costs based on data insights.
  • Use and develop media econometric modelling for media efficiency and business planning.
  • Evaluate and monitor Group channel and media performance benchmarks and overall media costs with agencies.
  • Track international brand performance, apply insights and conduct competitor and customer insights analysis. Set KPIs for media effectiveness and evaluate against set KPIs.
  • Recommend media policies development for maximum effectiveness.
  • Manage international agency relationships and procurement.
  • Set the yearly budget in the Business Plan and manage the delegated (project) budget. Allocate budgets across (all) markets
  • Collaborate closely with external providers, agencies, and internal stakeholders. Manage and align with internal and external stakeholders, contracts, budgets, etc.
  • Share best practices and strategies with all departments to encourage the business to deliver on Brand strategy.

Qualifications

  • Higher education for example in Marketing Communications or Branding.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing/branding/media buying.
  • Good understanding of various media channels (ATL and BTL) and their target groups.
  • Experience working with media agencies or for a media agency
  • Experience with media effectiveness tracking.
  • Ability to develop media plans and strategies, execution tools, and activation platforms that address business challenges and stakeholder perceptions.
  • Fluent in English. Swedish and/or Finnish is a merit.

It is also meritorious if you have experience in developing media strategies for corporations with high stakes with regards to safeguarding reputation and increasing public acceptance. Familiarity with media econometric modelling is a plus.
