There is now an opportunity for you to join us in the Platform Analytics team as a Data Scientist!
Who are we? What do we work with?
We belong to a department that works to optimize the product platform towards specific customer needs. We are fully integrated in all development phases from research to advanced engineering, technology and vehicle programs as well as maintenance.
Our team´s core responsibility is to develop and provide tools, methods, and techniques for usage of analytics in product development. The on-board logging area targets product utilization and prescriptive methods for defining the product environment, e.g. how are our customers utilizing their products, classification of different types of application areas and definitions of the operating environment. A portion of the efforts are also put into more classical analysis on sold product populations, e.g. which trucks are sold from the standard offering, where are they sold, trend analysis, etc.
You will be part of a tight team of eight experts, working in a strategically important area with a common goal, working passionately with establishing the Platform Analytics area, and its tools, methods and processes. This is an emerging area with fantastic potential that holds opportunities for personal development, exploration, advanced analytics and with a focus on the application of the products in the hands of our customers and their transport missions.
What will you work with?
In this position you will support the Team, Department and Vehicle Engineering to take the next steps towards leveraging Expertise and Data into insights and even better products for our customers.
As a data scientist, you will leverage advanced and cutting-edge analytics methods to transform complex data into knowledge and insights. Your expertise will help data driven decision-making and enhance our strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets.
• Develop models and algorithms to extract meaningful patterns and trends from data.
• Make the data available for other engineers to enable data driven decision-making.
• Contribute to develop services for our end customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
Who are you? Are we a perfect match?
We expect you to be a person with strong analytical skills and a will to deliver. We see that you as the candidate have good vehicle domain knowledge. Besides this you like coding, scripting and databases. A positive mindset “can do attitude” and team work characterizes your personal profile. You like to interact with different functions in a large global organization and have good presentation skills. In addition, we believe you have the following:
• Master’s degree in engineering, such as Physics, Mathematics, Computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, PySpark, etc.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikView/Qlik Sense and Power BI.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge in statistical models and Machine learning techniques.
• Experience from product development in automotive industry is meriting
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
