Axis has the largest test department in Sweden - it says something about our passion and commitment for quality! We now are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our video product test team within Axis Quality Assurance in Lund. Who is your future team? As Engineering Manager for HWQA you will work with quality assurance of new technology and solutions. You will lead a highly skilled and motivated team, and you will be able to set the strategic direction for it. The hardware test team is responsible for system-level product testing with a focus on mechanical components. Our main goal is to ensure that all products that leave the R&D department comply with external standards and Axis' internal product quality requirements. The team provides testing expertise and assist R&D in providing the high level of quality the market expects. This covers all aspects of quality assurance, including functional and non-functional testing as well as shared responsibility for the development processes. As Engineering Manager for HWQA you will work with quality assurance of the very newest technologies and products and lead a highly skilled and motivated team of engineers. You will be working together with experienced managers in an open and inclusive work environment that will inspire and help you in your personal development. What you'll do here as Engineering Manager The team supports Extended Video Products and New Business within the Axis R&D organization. These organizations have the responsibility for developing the high-end products, that Axis is known for. Your main tasks will be to: * Lead the team and individuals in their daily activities and make sure we get most out of everyone and that they get the support they need. * Run the day-to-day operations making sure that we have the right strategy, competence, test processes and tools. * Work together with your counterparts in the R&D organization and be up to date with project plans and need of resources for new projects and technologies. * Develop your team and its members related to both the needs of the company as well as in balance with the needs of every individual. * Perform standard management tasks like salary setting, budgeting, recruitments etc. You will report to the director of Video Product Test within the Quality Assurance department. Who are we looking for/Who are you? You are a natural leader. You have high ambitions and set new standards for yourself and those around you while being responsive. You lead by example and communicate clearly what you expect from each team member. You have a genuine interest and talent in leading people and organizations. You also have a genuine technical interest and like to get involved in work to improve the whole product development chain. We'd love to hear that you have/are: * At least a few years' experience in leading roles within electrical or mechanical verification. * You have a proven successful track record in leading and developing people and coaching them to discover their full potential. * You are seen as positive and empathic listener with the ability to act when needed. * You are passionate about testing and quality and have relevant experiences from former assignments. * You are fluent in English and Swedish. * You always try to look at things from different angles to find the best possible solution.
