We’re expanding our team to develop next-generation child bike seats and strollers that set the standard for safety, design, and usability. If you want to work in a company that values creativity and craftsmanship and where your work will have a lasting impact on families, this role is for you.
As a Design Engineer for Child Bike Seats and Strollers, you’ll have the unique opportunity to take part in designing solutions that help children explore the world from the back of a bike or in a stroller, knowing that every detail—from materials to ergonomics—has been carefully thought through to ensure their safety and comfort.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Designing and developing child bike seats and strollers that meet Thule’s uncompromising standards for safety, comfort, and usability. Driving the product development cycle from ideation to industrialization, ensuring products meet Thule’s high-quality and safety standards, while being on time and within budget. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (designers, engineers, and project managers) to create solutions that exceed the expectations of families everywhere. Selecting the best materials and manufacturing techniques, always with a focus on durability, comfort, and sustainability. Conducting hands-on testing and prototyping to refine and perfect your designs, ensuring they deliver the best possible experience for both parents and children.
What We’re Looking For:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) with a focus on design engineering or product development. Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software and an understanding of materials like plastics, metals, and textiles commonly used in child safety products. A passion for designing products that solve real-world problems for families, especially in the field of children’s safety. A collaborative mindset, eager to work in a multidisciplinary team and share ideas that push the boundaries of innovation. A strong commitment to quality and safety, with a keen eye for detail in design and testing.

About our Global Product Development Department
Globally we are over 250 engineers out of the majority is working in our Global Product Development Center in Hillerstorp (Sweden). Our cross functional team consists of highly skilled and motivated members with a well-balanced variety of experiences. We are a truly global company with an international and multi-cultural team. English is the language we use in our daily communication. We see a great future with continued passion for product development that is so vital for our growth as a company. We set great value in our working environment and offer great premises designed for product development. In our Global R&D center in Hillerstorp we have expanded with new offices, landscapes, team rooms and creative areas, but also great prototype areas including cut & sew and electronics lab.
