Description of the Workplace
Within the project, you will be placed with groups working on metabolic biomarkers and metabolomics at the Biomedical Center (BMC) at Lund University, led by researchers Vladimir Denisov and Associate Senior Lecturer Joao Duarte.
Denisov's group focuses on NMR/MRI techniques and their development using new hyperpolarized methods, while Duarte's group employs both NMR and MS techniques to study metabolism in diabetes and dementia. The groups have excellent access to state-of-the-art NMR and MS facilities in Lund, as well as the Swedish NMR Center in Gothenburg.
Within the workgroup, we continuously strive to create conditions for job satisfaction, development, and inclusion for all employees.
Description of Tasks
The tasks include participating in research projects focusing on molecular imaging of metabolic processes in healthy and pathological cells, as well as developing methodological aspects within the metabolic field. The work will encompass clinical and biomedical projects and may also include technology development aimed at integrating experimental techniques in the metabolic field with data analysis to provide a more comprehensive view of molecular processes related to health and disease.
The position involves overall responsibility for sample preparation, conducting experiments, data analysis, evaluation and integration of results, and reporting outcomes, including the publication of research findings.
