Your mission
Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing sourcing activities in line with Alstom rules during project execution for D&IS.
The key target is to ensure timely and cost effective procurement of material and installation activities and in line with project schedule.
In this role, you will manage a team of commodity buyers and overall responsible for building strong relationships with suppliers and develop and implement commodity strategies.

Your key responsibilities
Manage the sourcing activity:

Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor and develop expertise of commodity buyers

Strategic sourcing:
Develop and execute supplier strategies in line with business needs and global commodity strategies

Supplier Management:
Ability to manage critical suppliers independently.
Work with global commodity managers to develop supplier panel for Nordics D&IS

Stakeholder collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance

Single point of contact:
Related to all direct suppliers topics from the business, lead the sourcing activities for the business and point of escalation

Total cost of ownership:
Understanding of TCO and leading initiatives to reduce the cost of products across the lifecycle
Manage Project requirements:
- Participate in Business award/Go-RFQ launch meetings with key stakeholders
- Facilitate discussions between PPMs and buyers
- Monitor the GO-Award and ensure no deterioration on cost, quality during execution
- Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving.
Apply the Alstom procurement process, and provide return on experience.
- Ability to comprehend cost models for different commodities, and challenge suppliers to optimize cost
- Manage suppliers contracts and able to execute contracts.
Experience in claims management
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors studies in purchasing or equivalent (engineering, project management, Finance, Business Administration.
Masters education is desirable
- 6-8 years or more of relevant experience within procurement.
- Previous experience from Industrial companies within automative or manufacturing.
Railway experience is desirable
