About the role:

For our close partner AstraZeneca, KellyOCG is seeking a Scientist in Analytical Chemistry to join the team for a 12 - months contract position. You will work entirely onsite at AstraZeneca in Gothenburg / Mölndal, becoming an integral part of their team and reporting directly to their manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the quality attributes of drug formulations during their development. You will work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team where you’ll have the opportunity to perform analytical testing, contribute to documentation processes, and actively participate in project team meetings. This is primarily a laboratory-based role.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide scientific input in analytical science to support drug product development.

Perform analytical testing using chromatography techniques (e.g., UPLC) and other relevant methods for small molecules.

Ensure accurate documentation of experiments and results.

Attend and present findings in project team meetings.

Collaborate across teams to determine quality attributes during formulation development.


Essential Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in pharmaceutics, chemistry, analytical science, or a related field with relevant skills.
  • Strong scientific knowledge in analytical science.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience, including familiarity with computerized systems and chromatography techniques for small molecules.


Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within a GMP environment.
  • Well-organized, analytical, flexible, and accurate with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
