Responsibilities:
1.
Support Business Development:
- Assist in the daily project processes and business development activities.
- Provide regular updates and reports to Europe Branch and UPI Headquarters regarding project execution and status.
- Ensure compliance with internal reporting procedures and oversee project payments as necessary.
- Implement strategies and action plans in alignment with directives from UPI Headquarters to support overarching business goals.
2.
Enhance Acceptance and Usage:
- Work on improving acceptance coverage for UPI cards in Nordic and Baltic markets by collaborating with local acquirers and payment providers.
- Conduct merchant visits, perform test transactions, and manage UnionPay signage posting to ensure smooth card acceptance.
- Develop strategies to increase transaction volume and improve the quality of acceptance.
3.
Marketing and Promotional Activities:
- Initiate and implement marketing projects in collaboration with key merchants to boost card usage and transaction volumes.
- Participate in local sponsorships, branding events, and advertising campaigns to support overall business development efforts.
4.
General Administrative and Cross-functional Tasks:
- Take on comprehensive roles that may include marketing and general administrative tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new business opportunities and tailor solutions to meet merchant needs.
- Ensure alignment with and execution of strategies outlined by UPI Headquarters to achieve regional and global objectives.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1.
Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline.
2.
1-3 years’ experience in business development, preferably in the payment industry or financial services.
Exceptional recent graduates may also be considered.
3.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; proactive, self-driven, and highly motivated to achieve results.
4.
Fluency in English and Chinese is mandatory; proficiency in any Nordic language is desirable.
