The School of Information Technology
Halmstad University consists of four interdisciplinary Schools and the current position is located at the School of Information Technology (https://hh.se/ite-en). https://hh.se/ite-en is a multicultural school with around 130 employees from 20 different countries. It is a strong research and education environment, with focus on smart technology and its applications. Description
We are seeking a lecturer (universitetsadjunkt) in informatics/digital design or closely related subjects for 360 days from February 2025 to January 2026. The candidate should be able to take full responsibility for teaching at bachelor and advanced level within the subjects of digital design, experience design and human-centered AI. The candidate is expected to drive the development of courses and independently administer and run them. The position also includes participation in the development of a new advanced education on experience design. There is also a need for participation in research projects related to human-centered AI and the use of AI in the design process.
Qualification
To be eligible for employment as a university lecturer, one must have an advanced degree and demonstrated teaching proficiency.
For this position an advanced degree in informatics with focus on digital design and human-centered AI or close related area.
Teaching proficiency includes:
- Documented experience in teaching the subject
- Proven skill through experience with various teaching methods
- Experience in educational development work
The quality of teaching experience is the primary criterion, but the extent of teaching experience is also important.
For employment as a university lecturer, completed training in higher education pedagogy is required, or the applicant must have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way or commit to undergoing higher education pedagogy training.
Fluency in English is required for this position.

- Experience of teaching digital design, experience design and human-centered AI on bachelor and advanced level
- Experience of research activities related to human-centered AI and the use of AI in the design process
- Experience in developing new educations, particularly on advanced level
- Proven interest in the field.
- Proven ability to work with people from different disciplines, both in academia and industry.
Proven experience in leadership, administrative skills and interaction with the wider community is an asset.
Salary
Salary is to be settled by negotiation. The application should include a statement of the salary level required by the candidate.
The employment is a permanent employment and can begin with a probationary period.
