The test operations team are responsible for development testing and verification of all the products, ICE or Electrified, at Power Solutions. The group has a wide range of responsibilities working both inhouse in test cells and out in the field in close collaboration with our OEM and business units. We consist of Engineers and mechanics with a wide range of knowledge supporting each other to reach our goal. We also collaborate closely with the development engineers, sales, and service units at Power Solutions.
Your role
As a field test engineer you’re responsible for setting up plans and organising the field tests together with development groups, sales organisations, business units and OEMs. You are also responsible for working hands on setting up the tests in the field and handling the ongoing field tests. You are the first line speaking partner for all stakeholders.
Your tasks
· Organising and planning field tests with all stakeholders
· Hands on work with starting and running field tests
· Analysing and presenting field test data
· Support and run improvement work together with colleagues and cross functions to improve our ways of working
The role contains both national and international business travel, normally 2-10 international trips per year.
Your profile
To succeed as a field test engineer you need to have good communication skills and organisational skills. You are able to take initiative and proactively seek the information needed for the field test. We are working directly with customers with high expectations, this requires a combination of flexibility and structure in your work. We see that you have a good technical knowledge and a willingness to learn, grow and develop together with us.
· Bachelors degree in engineering or similar work experience.
· Fluent in English and might also be in Swedish.
· Experience working with electrification and ICE are strong merits
· Previous experience in electrical cabling, data handling/processing, is a merit.
