Engineer the Future of Sustainable Solutions with Valmet
Transforming Biomass into a Fossil-Free Future: Senior Mechanical Engineer, Join Us!
Biomass Conversion is one of the most exciting Technology Units within Valmet, where developing sustainable and efficient technology solutions for a fossil-free future is a high priority.
Our technology and processes utilize biomass residues from forests and agriculture to create innovative green products for the future, such as biofuels, bio-chemicals, and coal-replacements, contributing to the phase-out of fossil products. Our customers are mainly active in the forest, energy, chemical, oil and gas industries and are located all over the world. Biomass Conversion is a part of the Pulp and Energy Business Line within Valmet.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our strong and collaborative team, you will work with our products throughout the entire product life cycle. This includes maintaining our product portfolio and driving R&D activities, support in sales projects, deliver and support in our project execution, follow-up in manufacturing, support in start-up and commissioning, and ensure a smooth handover to our customers and service organization.
You will be involved in the earliest R&D tasks, including the development of new solutions, products, equipment, and machinery to meet our innovative and evolving business and customer needs.
In our sales and delivery projects, you will play a key role in delivering and following up through all stages, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and time-plan compliance to meet our customers’ standards and expectations.
You will be responsible for engineering documentation, reviewing, approving, making technical decisions, and overseeing the technical solutions that we deliver worldwide. This includes following up on manufacturing or our products’ operations, assisting in problem-solving and troubleshooting, and improving existing processes, concepts, or products. In this role, you will lead and coordinate engineering work across multiple projects simultaneously.
We work in various team constellations both within and outside the group, emphasizing the importance of networking for success in this role. Therefore, we prefer that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different areas.
