We seek a Senior Backend Developer (Java) to join an international company in Gothenburg.

This is a one-year consultant contract, starting in December 2024.

We seek an experienced cloud backend developer for a team of eight fun and curious engineers with diverse backgrounds. The team’s primary mission is to offer vehicle energy-related data to partners and third parties to enable a broader range of collaborations for electric battery vehicles.

In this role, you will be encouraged to take ownership of your work while maintaining clear communication and contributing to a supportive team environment.

We seek someone who can contribute to the architectural work, implementation, and testing. Your initial tasks will be based on the competence and experience you bring to the team. Still, independently of your tasks, you must collaborate with many different teams and individuals, both internal and external to the department.

Do you fit the profile?

You are an experienced cloud developer (primarily Java) with knowledge and experience in modern software development. You have a proven history of integrating complex systems in cloud environments, with solid skills in AWS management, DevOps practices, and optimizing system performance. Familiarity with cloud security in distributed systems and experience in event-driven architecture is important.

A general understanding of vehicle technology is a bonus. You have more than four years of experience and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent knowledge). A diver’s license (level B) is helpful but not required.
