About the role

Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company in the energy and power sector and we develop Sweden's energy infrastructure! With us, you work in a future industry with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We need more energy heroes and now we are looking for reinforcements for our technology department in Örnsköldsvik. Together we create Sweden's safest workplace!

As a control engineer, you belong to a larger group of engineers spread across northern Sweden. You will work at customers' power stations with, among other things, the following:

• maintenance testing of relay protection
• commissioning, configuration and testing of control facilities
• troubleshooting and relay changes
• work with remote controls and other station equipment
• minor design adaptations in connection with commissioning

Within the company, we have approx. 170 engineers spread throughout the country, which gives access to a very large competence base. We work actively with internal training to broaden and deepen the competence of our employees. With us, you get the opportunity to work with all available control equipment, at all voltage levels, from 0.4kV to 400kV.

Requirements specification

Our way of working is characterized by freedom under responsibility. Safety is always in focus as we work in potentially dangerous environments.

We know that you will develop together with us, but to succeed in the role you must have:

• a post-secondary education in electrical power or similar work experience in electrical power,
• e.g. operator, operating engineer or test manager for commissioning
• knowledge of electric power plants
• knowledge of relay protection and relay protection configuration
• good computer skills
• B driver's license
• fluent Swedish in speech and writing

It is advantageous to have:

• work experience from control facilities within 130-400 kV
• experience in similar tasks
• good knowledge of English

We are looking for you who are motivated by working with complex issues. As a person, you are also service-oriented and good at collaborating with people both internally and externally. You inspire confidence and actively look for new ways to develop.

To succeed in the role, you also need to be able to plan and prioritize your tasks independently.

We attach great importance to your personal qualities.

Travel in the service with overnight stays occurs as a natural part of the work.
