Your role and responsibilities
Are you passionate about distributed and embedded real-time systems and eager to see your software solutions make a real impact in industrial applications? At ABB, we are looking for a dedicated researcher to join our team and shape the future of automation solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate, lead, and collaborate on cutting-edge research projects while working with international ABB business units, customers, and leading academic institutions. You will develop project ideas and feasibility studies based on customer needs, academic research, technology trends, and market developments. Your work will involve creating prototypes that translate innovative concepts into solutions with tangible business impact and sharing your results through technical reports, scientific publications, and patent applications.
You will play a key role in building a strong network across ABB, actively sharing your expertise and contributing to the company’s collective knowledge. By following best practices in software development, you will ensure high-quality and reliable deliverables. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, and you will work closely with a cross-disciplinary and diverse team, fostering innovation and sharing your skills and experience to promote a culture of growth and learning.
