We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund. While the accelerator and target have already been constructed, the instrument section is still in the design phase. This is where you will contribute by designing cable routes and electrical schematics for control cabinets and determining cable layouts. These cables may include power cables, network cables, or fiber optic cables. Once the design phase is complete, an installer will follow your schematics to lay the cables you’ve planned. The cable routes will be designed for large spaces filled with complex equipment, which must be carefully considered. Key Responsibilities: • Designing cable routes and electrical schematics for power, network, and fiber cables • Creating electrical circuit diagrams and drawings using Eplan Electric P8 • Developing 3D layouts using Aveva e3D to specify exact locations of all elements • Collaborating with the ESS systems for relevant documentation Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Eplan Electric P8 • Fluent in English, both written and spoken • Resident in Sweden Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with networking • Additional years of relevant experience About the customer The European Spallation Source is one of the largest science and technology infrastructure projects being built today.
