The Candidate

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team player. You will be a senior developer responsible for developing new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should have strong expertise in working with healthcare applications and frameworks or the ability to quickly learn and excel in them, even if you haven't worked directly in healthcare before. You should have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure the project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Implement and test new products and features
• Participate in code reviews
• Configure, maintain and monitor our infrastructure to optimise performance.
• Build and improve RESTful APIs.
• Design and manage databases (SQL).
• Ensure adherence to data security protocols and industry best practices.
• Write unit and integration tests.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 6+ years of professional experience in backend/software development
• Proficiency in Node.js and Typescript, with expertise in SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, Git, Jira, SQL databases, API development, and Linux/Unix environments. Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), message queue systems, and event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of software design patterns, and experience in building scalable systems.
• Excellent communication skills and outstanding ability to work in a team.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Ability to multi-task, organise, and prioritise work
