Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Functional Safety Manager to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Lead the adaptation of the Engine Management System’s Functional Safety Concept for mid-level safety monitors to align with international interfaces
- Develop documentation for modification requirements to achieve corresponding safety performance in international markets
- Create and oversee plans for implementation and system testing of mid-level safety monitors aligned with international safety goals
- Conduct GAP analyses to determine modifications needed for safety monitors based on international interfaces
- Manage and document requirements and system tests for mid-level safety monitors, including safety analyses to ensure accurate verification
- Coordinate and run a start-up meeting with key stakeholders, including the Lead Engineer, System Owner, Requirement Engineer, Functional Safety Manager, and product owners
- Plan and lead continuous safety monitoring tasks, implementation, and verification of safety monitors as per customer’s production software requirements
- Maintain effective communication with other functional safety managers, requirement engineers, test developers, and lead engineers to ensure project alignment
- Participate in sprint and PI planning according to the customer’s Way of Working (WoW)
What you bring:
- Extensive experience in functional safety management, with a strong background in defining safety levels, requirements documentation, and test planning
- Proven ability to lead and execute functional safety adaptations in engine management systems, particularly for international standards
- Technical expertise in system-level requirements, verification, and safety analyses for safety monitors
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering tasks within agreed timelines and maintaining customer satisfaction
- Ability to conduct GAP analyses and adjust safety monitors and safety goals for diverse international interfaces
- Knowledge of safety requirements for engine management, cruise control, pedal interfaces, and auxiliary and external engine control
- Familiarity with developing safety goals for updated hardware and electrical systems, including adaptations for new electrical architecture and combustion strategies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional stakeholders and lead technical discussions
