The Product Owner at Trimble Maps works closely with Product Management, Support and Engineering to manage the lifecycle of our SaaS products.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong Technical Project Management background with demonstrated experience leading services in the Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall development lifecycle of complex solutions.
- Work with Product Management and Support to develop and execute a roadmap.
- Work closely with Engineering Managers to develop robust, scalable and fault-tolerant services.
- Project Management
- Prioritize and manage tasks.
Communicate status and risks to stakeholder and leadership.
- Ensure products are released with high quality and on schedule.
- Work with the sprint teams to manage sprints and remove roadblocks.
- Coordinate the roadmap breakdown into milestones and sprints.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing.
- Work with Quality Assurance to coordinate the test plans.
- Provide demos and gather feedback from customers
- Act as the primary liaison between Engineering and Business teams.
- Visit key customers and partners to ensure feedback is factored into the roadmap.
- Managing other team members for this business line.
Qualifications
- Background with Web technologies (Web Services, Web Applications, databases) is strongly preferred.
- Must be comfortable using API testing tools.
- Good presentation/communication skills for internal training, client interaction, and industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or EE major with experience building software.
- 5-7 years’ experience as a Software Engineer, Product Manager, Product Owner, Project Manager, Scrum Master in the technology/software industry
- Ability to handle concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Agile Knowledge.
- Ability to articulate both agile and SAFe Agile development values and principles.
- Demonstrate how to conduct story mapping and user story writing sessions to create a product backlog Explain various ways to create user stories and document acceptance criteria.
