Side & Roof – Let’s introduce ourselves!  The Side & Roof department owns, designs and develops functions for Door Control, Locking & Alarm and different openings of the vehicle (such as windows, doors and tailgate) to provide the best customer user experience in our future vehicles. To strengthen our In-house SW & Test department, within Side & Roof, we are now looking for an experienced software developer in C.   What you will do  As a software developer, you will be involved in all stages from requirement definition to validation and verification. You will be part of the team and have interfaces with stakeholders internally and externally.    Your main responsibilities are development and maintenance of software related to Door Control, Locking & Alarm. You will ensure that the Door Control, Locking & Alarm software meets customer expectations. This will require fault tracing and debugging, both in C and in Simulink.  It’s important that you are a structured and self-motivated team player who will demonstrate contribution and collaboration. You will work closely with System Designers, Function Owners, Test Engineers and Rig owners.  What you will bring   We are looking for a team player who takes full ownership of solutions from start to finish, demonstrating a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Curiosity and a drive to explore new ideas are essential, along with a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a team. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is also required. If you're ready to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!  To thrive in this role we believe you have:  A M.Sc in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through years of practice  As a minimum 2 years of experience with software development in C  Good knowledge in how to design software   And it is a bonus if you are familiar with:  Simulink/Matlab  Debugging embedded systems  CI/DevOps  Simulink Test or Google test  System/CarWeaver  Software verification in different test setups  Volvo Cars or automotive experience
