Arbetsbeskrivning
Are you ready to play a key role in developing the next generation of sustainable automotive technology? Our client is dedicated to creating innovative battery solutions that drive a greener future and we´re looking for a Senior Wiring Harness Engineer to bring deep expertise, leadership, and a passion for innovation to their team.
What You´ll Do
As a senior member of the team, you´ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and overseeing their electrical distribution systems (EDS) that power advanced battery solutions. In this role, you will:
• Lead the integration of mechanical and electrical components across our EDS systems, from initial concept to maintenance, ensuring a seamless and effective design.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that our designs meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate complex engineering efforts across the organisation, guiding cross-functional teams toward a cohesive, integrated solution.
• Select and validate critical components like wires, cables, connectors, and terminals based on technical requirements and industry standards, focusing on both quality and performance.
• Creating and refining virtual models for wiring harnesses and preparing 2D and 3D drawings.
• Drive risk analysis and quality control through Risk Analysis and Root Cause Analysis to anticipate and address potential design issues.
• Oversee product lifecycle management by tracking the EDS system from advanced engineering through product development to maintenance.
• Problem-solving and innovation alongside a team that values new perspectives and fresh ideas.
Qualifications and soft skills
We´re looking for a seasoned engineer who combines strong technical skills with a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration. To thrive in this role, you likely have:
• 5+ years of experience in wiring harness or electrical distribution system design, ideally in the automotive industry.
• A degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or a similar field).
• Extensive experience in automotive EDS systems, including both low and high voltage.
• A track record of working with automotive suppliers.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to wire harnesses, including practical insights into risk analysis, root cause analysis, and project quality controls.
• Proficiency in CAD software for wiring harness modeling and technical documentation (2D/3D).
• Project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills – you´re adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders and enjoy mentoring others in technical development.
• A curiosity for innovation and a proactive approach to personal growth. You´re someone who values ongoing learning and is excited to stay current with new technologies, especially in sustainable energy and electrification.
